Sean’s journey is a story of resilience and transformation. Starting out as a hip-hop artist under the name Kid Flash in 1988, he was signed to CBS Epic Records, leaving his mark in the music world. However, Collinson’s path would take a dramatic turn as he transitioned from performing to negotiating high-stakes hostage situations, earning global recognition as a world-renowned mediator/negotiator.
Raised in Brooklyn by his 14-year-old single mother after his father was tragically shot when Sean was just six months old, Sean’s early life was shaped by adversity. Yet, he used these challenges as fuel to drive his success in multiple arenas. Today, in addition to his mediation work, he serves as a hostage negotiator with the Los Angeles County SWAT team, utilizing his calm demeanor and strategic thinking in crisis situations.
